So some among you might recall a time not too long ago when our primary focus was paranormal research. Then we just up and switched gears and made a radio show. Like, what the hell, guy? I know, I know...
But because I want you to know it's still around, I added it to the main menu bar so you can still access it's website, which will also be updated. Freakyvox and The WPA are two halves of one whole, but I wanted to separate them so each can thrive on its own merits.
As a team, The WPA is more focused on research and not restricting investigative techniques because we believe that the field itself is more theory than fact, so we are open to ideas, interpretations and tools and don't attempt to act like we're this band of gifted, soothsayers who will go check a place out and offer you sage wisdom. Not to say we don't believe. We do. But since the universally adopted methods are in that gray area of theory, we explore all kinds of methods because we want to discover one that shoots this field from pseudo to straight up science.
What sets us apart from other groups is that we are picky and also don't actively reach out looking for places to investigate because we want to maintain an audience. That's what Freakyvox is for. It allows us to flex our creative muscles without that pesky annoyance of NDA's and release forms which are all needed in order to protect one selves against legal action in the event a homeowner decides our video about their haunting is now generating money and they deserve some of it. This has happened to people, so if we go somewhere that isn't prompted by a call made to us, it's going to be a public location. There are plenty of teams, even here in Upstate South Carolina, who have fantastic members and years of experience that are probably better suited to handle these things because that is their sole purpose. Not to say we lack qualifications or experience, but our methods are more parallel to what you'd expect from a police investigation and we don't believe in making promises we can't keep. I can't guarantee that saging a house will release a spirit if I can't guarantee that the underlying issue is even paranormal to begin with. Freakyvox will handle all these topics in future episodes and our teams investigations will continue in our own unique way. We haven't gone anywhere. We're turning twelve this year.
